An introspective and highly-respected dynamic rap artist, K-Rad launched his career through self-released music and videos throughout his college and post-grad career. Still emerging, K-Rad is a Seattle native who focuses on storytelling, clever lyrics and catchy hooks over lush beats that combine old-school hip-hop fundamentals with newer electronic sounds. His latest solo release, “Nerd Eyes”, was released his senior year at Gonzaga University, and just six-months later he released a joint project “Golden Means Kairos” with his DJ/featured artist Matty V.
Now, with over a year in the making, he anticipates his first studio album to be released in 2018.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS & OTHER VENTURES
In addition to having a solo rapping career, K-Rad has excelled in other creative businesses including film scoring, graphic design, and podcasting. In 2016, he was hired to compose hip-hop music for the award-winning documentary Gold Balls, which has premiered at 12 film festivals across the US. In 2015 he launched his freelance graphic and web design company Killer Suave, and has worked with several big-name companies such as KIA, The Scott Brothers, Jon Taffer, and Cove Manila.
His latest venture is the podcast “Hoppy on Broadway”, a talk-show featuring engaging dialogue about Northwest hip-hop while reviewing Northwest beer with a local hip-hop MC or producer. You can stream the podcast here.
